Hey everyone. Im trying to get all my stuff bought and ready before i start my nano... im thinking about adding a small powerhead for current. What is a good powerhead for small aquariums that is pretty inexpensive and doesnt take up a whole lot of space?
heres one i saw but i know nothing about powerheads :/

They are all relatively cheap. The maxi-jets, a small Rio would do too. You really don't need that much current depending on how big the tank is. Plus, if you have an HOB that gives off a lot of current.

its an aquapod all in one system so there isnt a HOB, just 2 little adjustable hoses

The aquapod doesn't have a wavemaker or little powerhead or anything built in it? At this point I would just look for something that is actually going to fit in the cube.

hmm....I have a maxijet 600 near the bottom of my 10 gallon blowing over the LR and a aquaclear 30 up closer to the surface. Also have an AC30 HOB. It all fits quite well into the 10 gallon and it doesn't bother me. Also, those powerheads are fairly cheap.

I have a Koralia Nano in my 12g and it fits fine. The flow is gentle too.
If you want to save some $, go with zack's suggestions.

What version did you get? HQI or PC?
If PC lighting then I think up grading the stock pump with a maxi-jet 900 would be more than enough flow(20x) for anything the tank will support light wise...plus you'll reduce heat build up over the stock pump. if you really want flow or have the HQI and want SPS then toss a Korilia nano in the display along with the maxi up grade... over 40x turn over!!!
Good luck and FOLLOW this sig line from another board...

I have the HQI 70watt fixture. its pretty nice, but the fan is fairly noisy.
Hey coach, how many pounds of live rock is that??

I think there are about 9 lbs. in the picture. I am not sure because some of the rock was given to me. After this pic. was taken, I got rid of one of the big rocks on the bottom because it was sprouting some hydroids. I replaced it with a mixture of some aquacultured rock and rock from a friend's sump. I probably have around 11 lbs. now.
BTW...If you think the Koralia is too big OR too expensive, you can always go this route:

I bought one of those for my pico, they are the smallest pump I have ever seen. They are 80g/hr stock, but you can do a simple mod. to get them up to about 90.

:c5: No, there are other ways to get rid of them, but it was really easy (and cheap) for me to pick up some new rock, so I just did it.

do you have to get rid of them? are they harmful or anything?

The ones in my tank looked a little different. They can be a problem for some people. They can sting livestock/corals, and they can spread rapidly, like most pests.
