Everyone, Please make sure that when you copy and paste articles or information, that the proper site is given credit for it and not taken as you wrote it yourself. It's better to just give the link to where they can read about so that site gets the credit.

I often copy and paste just a highlighted piece of a transcript but you can not copy entire articles and claim them as written by you or pictures taken from the net and claimed as your own and used in our contests.

You can show someone a picture taken from the net but you can not lead them to believe that picture is one of your own.

Rather a gray area here but the site can be reported if anothers information is taken and used here and made to look as it is your picture or your article.

Andrea, once again........

This is the page to report the stolen pictures. I see someone contacted him from flowerhorn.com asking him if they can use HIS pictures!

I also posted in the comments section and see where you did also.

But thanks to Lady Hobbs, I did a bit of a research in the net if there are free watersigns available...there are, even in German. Now my pics in EVERY forum I am in, will look a bit weird.:ezpi_wink1:

Somehow I missed all this, and don't recall about your stolen pic's.

But I think it is wrong someone feels they need to steel another persons photo's or articles and take credit for them themselves.

I also feel it wrong, that you need to watermark photos to protect them, you take great photo's, why should you have to deface them with a watermark, just to protect them.

Great site and they have your name under them and have protected your copyright by doing so. This other guy has them in his personal album with no permission from you making him in violation.

No wonder you are angry. This kind of stuff on the internet where people just take what they want makes me angry as well.

Too bad instead of a watermark you can't just make your pictures impossible to copy. I notice the information or pictures from some sites can not be copied which is a good thing.

I plan to keep on after this guy to get him to remove them. Jerk.

Good news for me, tho. When my computer crashed I lost a bunch of my pictures. I found them on that site. I had uploaded them there and forgot about it. Yeaaaaaaaaa!

Sorry Bill. This conversation began in POTM and I opened this thread so the discussion was not taking place in the comp thread. I should have moved the link here so people would know what I was talking about.

Perhaps adding a water mark to your photo's is a good measure to prevent theft. I'll post an example I bit later tonight. I gotta jump in the shower and head into town for a bit first.

Just a sample on my earlier remark about adding a watermark to your photo. Very easy to do, if you have Photoshop or similar, just write whatever text you want over your picture, resizing and positioning it to where you want and increase the ttransparency of it to a desired level (in my example I used white text with 20% transparency) and voila! A watermark ....
