Hi all

Every so often I take big clumps of java moss into my LFS. They normally give me something for it, like a pot of food or money off my purchases. One time I went it they gave me a big clump of this very ususual moss. It's done well in both my tanks and has doubled in size in a couple of months. Can anyone ID it?

Pretty sure they just gave you an evergreen branch. LOL It looks amazing, I hope someone can ID it because I need that in my life!

This is a long shot, but could it be Peacock Moss (Taxiphyllum SP) ?

Definitely not willow or flame moss as I know they look just like java moss but grow in differing formations. This moss is like nothing I've seen before as it's huge. Not at all delicate. I'll go look up peacock moss now. Cheers.

Actually I've googled all of them now and I think talldutchie is correct with willow moss! That is the only one that confirms the size difference.
