Goldfish bowl no no?

Is it true what I have heard that goldfish dont realy like to live in goldfish bowls, they dont like the round living space, and if true, why is that?

It's true but not for that reason. The reason is that a bowl (besides being to small) have a small surface area which means less oxygen in the water and goldfish requires a lot of oxygen.

Its not that, its the bowl offres little surface area for the oxygen exchange and goldfish thrive on oxygen. Also they are very hard to clean, and most bowls are small, goldfish get 12" in aquariums and up to 2' in ponds.

I had two goldfish bowls when a little girl, but my fancytails died and my real goldfish grew to big for them and they seamned mutch more happy in my aquarium, even if that was not ideal for them as there was other fish in there, but they did not eat my tetras and seamd real happy in there, but eventualy they outgrw the aquarium to and I had to sell them.
