Hi guys,

I was wondering if it is possible to attach this plant to wood. Would it still get the nutrition it needed? Or would it have to grow roots down to the substrate?

Not familiar with that plant, would need the lating name to say anything with any certainty but it looks like a heave root feeder to me so I think not a good idea.

Amazed that you managed to find that.

No, definitely not a good idea. It's a swamp/bog plant and those really need to tuck their roots into something. Lovely plant to let grow out of an open topped tank though, nice flowers!

It's fairly common in my lfs. Not a special order item.

I actually have 2. One in my little fish tank and the other is loved by the parrot fish.

It is growing nicely. I bought it about a month ago and it already has 3 new, decent sized leaves.
