I was curious about purchasing a blue lobster. I read that they grow to about 5 inches, is that correct? I also read that they are somewhat aggressive towards small, slow moving fish, is that correct? I would be concerned for my 6 neon tetras, and 2 african dwarf frogs. I'm pretty sure that the neons would be fast enough to avoid the lobster, but the frogs are somewhat slow and sit on the bottom all the time. Is the lobster purchase a no go? :thumb:

the lobster would probably eat the frogs.

Things like that can have a go at slow-moving fish. About your safest bet is very fast moving fish that stay near the surface - and even then, make sure there's a lot of depth between the highest point the lobster can reach and those fish.

i had a pair of blue lobsters,,and didnt introduce frogs for that reason,,they were really cool,,especially when they shed their shell,,only thing i didnt like was the smell,,it took alot of maintenance to keep their home clean,,but it was worth it,,i wish i could put one in with my oscar,,
