Here's a picture of one of leaves on my amazon sword:

What are those brown spots? From looking really closely, it seems like they're in the plant rather than on the plant (like algae). It's only on the older leaves, so is it possible that it's just old age?

My older leaves on my Amazon has that too...I have no clue what it is, some sort of deficiency?

I suspect its either potassium or iron deficiency. You will want to compare each one or you can treat for both in the same way... fertilize more of those minerals.

Amazon Swords are heavy root feeders that seem to need a significant amount of root ferts in my experience.

Thanks Trilli...I just started root fert feeding, and the newer leaves coming in do not have the spots, so hopefully that was the issue.

Just say you have an Ozelot Sword and then no one is the wiser.

Looks to me like a combo of potassium and iron shortage.
