Ok so I have a aponageton and it has something that looks like a flower stem stalk thing do they flower?

Ok thank you. Is there a way to get blbs out of the flower or any way to propagate them?

Ok just looked at it and it is splitting in two.

Yep, it will make a two-pronged flower. I have read that if you rub two of them together they will go to seed. Haven't tried that one yet, though. I'm not that hard up for plants OR entertainment. ha ha ha

Ok so just rub them together and let it set or cut it or what?

Ok the end of the stalk is turning a whiteish color and the end where the actal flower is it split in two.

Rub them together and let them sit, they'll do the rest of the work. I'm not sure about this particular plant but I would assume that once it goes to seed the stalk will die. Leave it alone if it does. I would guess the seed will fall back into the tank and once they sprout you can move them to desirable locations in the tank.
