Check out this ammonia sensor:

It's only 2.5" / 6 cm tall. I thought it would be bigger, but I'm glad it isn't. I don't know if it works, though, since my test kit reads zero ammonia in my tank, and I'm not about to let the ammonia levels rise just for the sake of testing my sensor... :wink:
