Cracking head, dwarf?

Hi,

I haven't been here in a while I've been so busy with school!

I notice a strange phenomenon with my dwarf gourami. He seems to have what looks like a faded spot or crack on the crown of his head. His fins are healthy, breathing fine, colour good, and appetite as ravenous as always (he is at the top w/angel and two platies the second I turn on the light). He is boisterous, and often chases the female - - I am wondering if he just battered himself a little, or if this could be the start of something worse -- or nothing at all.

Tank parameters are good.

Any thoughts?

Sounds like an injury to me. I saw similar markings when my male gouramis started fighting.

Gouramis are susceptible to skin infections.
