Black knife fish tank size

I've been interested in these guys and i was jsut wondering what is the minimum tank size for one of them?

I have heard so many varying sizes for black knives,from 20" down to 8" in size I would think 55gal would be min for 8" 100gal for 20"Ill figure that out later I got enough budget to house him either waythumbs2:

A 29 isn't big enough, not even to start one with those cichlids in there. Most grow slowly, but even then you need to be able to deal with them full grown.

Oh, i wasn't planning on buying one, i'm oversotcked as it is, i was jsut wondering because i plan to get a bigger tank in the future.

for a small one, a 55g, fullgrown a 150g+

55g will support one but a 75g for one by himself I think is fine. As said, a 100g is ideal.
