20 gal fiddler setup

I have a 20 gallon tank that I am setting up for fiddler crabs. I sloped crushed coral up one side, added lots of aquarium sand on top, and secured the slope with a bunch of large rocks underneath and some driftwood.

Right now I have 16ppt (I think it needs to be higher??) water a few inches deep in the deep end, coming about 2/3 up the side of the "sand slope", a sponge filter, and a submersible heater. It's currently at 80 degrees, with a pH at approx 7.8 (although it's not so clear since I used a freshwater test kit, and the blue color doesn't match the chart perfectly).

Are these values all good, or should I tweak anything? I'd like to get the crabs in the next week or so.

How many (and what sex) crabs can this tank accommodate?

Just to update - I just found a local fish store that has them, and they claim that they're being kept in full-strength saltwater (sg 1.025). Isn't that super high?

Not for a marine environment

The average salinity in the coral reefs is 1.026

I just mean that I thought fiddlers were best kept in a brackish environment.

Sorry, I miss-understood

I do believe you are correct. From what I have read, fiddlers do best with a salinity of 1.005 to 1.010 which is typical for brackish.
