guppies....minimum requirement????

ok well i was wondering what the minimum requirement (tank size in gallons) would be for a trio of guppies????

personally i would say a filtered and heated 5.5g

are these for same sex guppies? if so, I think a filter 5 gallon would be fine.

no...a 'trio' means 1 male and 2 female.

Also i wouldn't be wanting to raise the fry or anything.

But if they pop out then they will grow. I have one in a 5g with snails and I also have a 10g feeder tank with a TON of feeder guppies but that is what they are for, feeding.

yeah but when they have the fry....the parents will most likley eat them...wont they?????

Maybe and in your case, hopefully LOL. They don't in mine but I have hiding places and floating plants for them.

Lol, you could always fish out the babys and drop them into your big tank as treats. Lets put it this way, I start out with 5 feeder guppies and in a months time I have around 30 in that feeder tank and it is time for a feeding frenzy in my big tank.

hahahahaha.....yeah thats what happened in my fiddler crab tank...i put in 6 fedder guppies (4 male 2 female) and the females were FAT...and within' a week i had about 30-50 fry in there.....now thankgod the parents ate some an now i am only stuck with 20 but jeeze....it was ALOT.....
