I had a few fish dying to do either ich or ammonia, i immediately did a huge water change for the ammonia and applied aquarium salt for the ich, do I add salt everyday now? or just the one dose? 2 more died since i put the salt in (platys) but maybe they were too far gone? just need advice on what to do from here, thanks
You should add salt as you replace water. If you change 10g, then add enough salt for those 10g.

I add it for a week after the signs go away to be sure and make sure to add extra stress coat.

Go half dose with tetras, they don't like salt really but half dose is fine. After every water change add the salt back with extra stress coat.

The best stuff ever made, it is by API? I think and it adds to there slime coat and is just good stuff. I would do a water change every 3-4 days while they are sick and raise the temp. slightly to about say 80 F.

It removes chlorine, adds slime coat, removes metals, and does a bunch of other stuff to. It is just a really helpful thing and once you get it and use it, you can tell a difference in your fish. When you add new ones they won't be as shocked and after a water change your fish perk up quicker.
