ok well when my loach (unknown species) goes and eats a flake off of the bottom of the tank, and he eats it too fast it will come right out of where his gills are....is this normal???? i just think that it is weird.

Do you have sand for your substrate? When my fish eat food off of the bottom they shoot the sand out of there gills. Maybe your loach isnt taking to the flake food and when he puts it in his mouth he is just spitting it back out through his gills. Those are my 2 suggestions hopefully they help.

Normal, it wasn't what he was looking for
