looks like some sort of cichlid to me.

There was a name on the side of the tank. I think it was Satan's Perch. If I saw it correctly

I agree 100% with Sandz. I have one in my tank. Here's a photo of mine taken over a year ago - he's much bigger now but I don't have a recent shot

He's a wonderful fish. totally non aggressive, fun to watch eat as he forages the substrate then spits the gravel from both his mouth and his gills. One of my favorites in my tank.

"Satan's perch" being a literal translation of its genus name Satanoperca. No idea how it came to that name.

satanoperca leucostitca 100%. true jurupari have blue bands on their face instead of the spots like leucos. awesome eartheater species that are fairly non-aggressive and do well in groups. I have kept them over the years and one of my fav fishes!

Agreed with everything above including them being great fish to keep
