Apple Snail Help Please!

Hi my apple snail hasn't been well lately and hasn't moved in 2 weeks. I thought it was dead, but his 'feelers' - or whatever they're called. Peep out occasionly and moved about but he goes nowhere.

i included two pictures

the first shows him and his bit of cracked off shell.. is that bad?

and secondly him poking out his feelers.

Bad pictures i know but im only 13 and cant afford a decent camera

Please help me!

i've had several apple snails and the all will "lay dormant" for weeks or up to a month at a time. this is normal. as for the cracked shell, just keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't get worse. i think the snail will be fine

Hey can i ask one more question he always used to bury himself in the sand.. is there a reason for this?

don't worry bout the cracked shell, it doesn't seems to be too badly damaged... tho you could add Liquid calcium and it might help... :P

Hmm...what about other snails? Is it normal for them to lay dormant too?
