Hello I need some help in determining if I can get a lionfish for my 35 gallon tank I have already stabilized the ph and salicity. I have a eheim model 2213 canister as my filter and also have a skimmer. Theres about 30 pounds of live rocks with crushed coral as my gravel. with some good hiding spaces. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it.
P.S. what is a nitrate cycle and is there anything else I have to do before I can get my fish. Thanks

um...well i am just going to let you know but lionfish are VENAMOUS(sp?) so you would have to be VERY careful.

Possible a dwarf but it's not an ideal tank for him. He is the ONLY thing you could have in there, they are very aggressive and eat everything, might as well look into getting a mantis shrimp if you want something like that LOL!!

I would first say you should read up on some of the basics of fish keeping. Try starting with the free ebook located in the menu on your left. I will also say that a fish like a lionfish is not at all a good starter fish. Lastly, I recommend that you start reading some of the posts over in the saltwater forum as you will receive outstanding expert advice there.
