Mass breeders will sometimes inject dye into relatively "bland" fishes to give them color. It usually results in skin diseases, and virtually all the dyed fish will die soon.

so me being new to this aquarium thing when i was reading lady's post on dyed fish neon tetra's came to mind that is natural color right? or are the little tetra's injected too?

some fish like neons are naturally colorful. however, bland fish like albino corys get stabbed with blue and green to make them colorful, when really its not just ugly, its fugly

Dying fish is (oops i seriously just wrote the 'f' word) horrible.
its the same thing as when people think thier turtles would look prettier with painted shells. I have nothing against a painted turtle shell. If the turtle was already dead!
Dying fish comes under the same sick catagory as animals in circusses poked at barely fed basically dieing without good reason to.

I hate people who inject or dip dye fish...... its just soooooooooo seriously wrong.
