Bear attack in my town

12 year old girl out running in the woods behind her grandfathers house. Two years ago there was a bear in the parking lot where I live just one block from Main Street. Cops chased it all day long and never did find it.

Bears are powerful creatures and territorial to a point. The girl Abby, was lucky.

Being a goalie myself ( hockey and soccer), I see her concern for the team. What a trooper.
Bears are not to be underestimated, they can out run a horse, smell better and hit harder then most people think. She is one lucky individual.

Lady Hobbs, dont be putting food out for those stay cats or dogs. You never know whats going to appear on your porch.

Seriously...she's lucky she's not dead...or badly hurt. And it is odd for a bear to attack...

They said her playing dead was not the right thing to do with the brown bear. Guess that one is for the grisly. Thankfully, we have none of those. They will trap it and probably kill it since it went after a human. I hope she is not subject to rabies shots but probably will be.
