I have decided that I need a lot more plants. LOTS. thumbs2: thumbs2: thumbs2:

So here's my tank as it currently is. It's a 20H with 65w of light, CO2, and a new regimen of dry fertilizers started today. It also has a raging algae problem. Oops. :help:

Anyway, what do you think I should add? Ground cover for sure, but what? What other plants?

Any suggestions or criticisms are most welcome (yes, even the criticisms!!).

your tank has a nice layout to it already.Get you algae under control as best you can first. Then, you can never go wrong with more sword plants.I dont have it personally but HC really looks aweson as a ground cover and I think it would look great in your tank.

Looks good to me. Those plants will all grow, especially the swords. Is that algae on the glass? If so, you need to clean that off before it gets out of hand.

I will definitely clean it off, but don't worry...it's already out of hand. :wink2: I just left it the way it was for now because I did a pretty hefty cleaning of the tank earlier in the day, including vacuuming 60% of the gravel and squeezing out the sponge in my filter. I wanted to leave some of my surfaces untouched so as not to completely mess up my biofilter.

That algae that's on the glass is also on the logs, on the plants, and on the tank equipment. I want to get it all out of my tank, but I can't figure out how to get it off the plants.

For ground cover, I have some amazon mini swords and they look nice. Alge on the plants, figure out what kind of alge it is and find an appropriate pleco or something. Azgardens has a whole list of alge eaters, I am sure you could find one that fits your needs.

Get some microswords for groundcover. They're easy to grow. I would get some stem plants for the very back of the tank.
