I am going to my first aquarium auction on Sunday. I am looking for German Blue Rams and some sort of shrimp (non aggressive with cleaning power). I was wondering which were better cleaners and what I should look for. Any advice?

Ghost shrimp are good cleaners and are cheap.

Ghost shrimp are not well kept in my area. They sell them as feeders... They are not a good idea to add to my tank. Maybe the auction will have some healthy ones. Any other ideas, some with color?

Amano? Most small shrimp like that can't live with fish because they will be ate. I have a 10g that I use as a feeder tank with ghost shrimp in it. Maybe a bamboo shrimp? They are large and pretty good at keeping algae in check.

Well, my original thought was red cherry shrimp but then I read that they breed a lot. I want shrimp for my Endler/Molly tank. Would a few adults live and all the babies be eaten? That would be perfect but I'm not positive about them. I have never had any.

Mollies would snack on them but I am sure a few could live in there if you provided the proper hiding places fro them.

Endlers also will attack any shrimp you put in the tank. At an auction you will probably find lot's of Bristlenose, that would be you best bet, that and Corys. The two will keep things clean od uneaten good and algea.
If your tanks are completely filled with plants so you cant see in more than a few inches a few Cherry shrimp would survive with the Endler's.... otherwise fish food... They did it all the time in my tanks until I learned better.
If you want shrimp, go with Amanos and let them grow out a bit.

I keep and breed cherry shrimp - they need to be kept with at least 10 as they are group animals any less than that and they will be unhappy shrimp and lose their colour. If you do plan on keeping them with Endlers & Mollies be prepared to not see much of them as they will continuously hide so not to be eaten. Your better going for the Amano shrimp which is larger and not under threat from your fish...although less colourful you will enjoy it more as you will see them more often ;)
