How about a couple of *these* babies in your tank? I'd hate to see them captive, but I sure would spend time staring at them.

I don't know how people 'round these parts feel about fishing, but I thought some of you might enjoy this one: A brown I caught last November. They were spawning, so the colors were amazing. I caught about five or six, all about this size (I lost count--too busy whooping, laughing, and shivering); we treated them all nicely and let them all go, so they're still out there.

(it won't let me post the photo directly, so here (http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-j5zi3wiII9E/UKPfGoBdBpI/AAAAAAAAANk/u8CPSbcJLyI/s1600/brown+trout+2.jpg)'s a link--sorry)

lovely fish, very evidently coldwater just from its surroundings...

Yes indeed. It was cold. I think we'd have been warmer under the water...

And thanks for the direct link, Honey Badger. You, obviously, are one of those rare ones who *does* care. Bet you've never heard that one before.

Great looking trout. I hooked in to a few last year that looked just like that. The season opened here Monday but I'm waiting for the weekend to hit the streams.
