I do huge water changes every week and clean the gravel but my silver dollar tank gets very dirty.
I removed 3 quarts of the gravel I had in the tank last night, removed some of the decorations and added the canister to that tank along with the AC 110.
The problem I have is these fish are so skittish that they run and hide when I come near the tank to feed them. By the time they come back out, the food has already sunk to the bottom of the tank.
I am considering buying an automatic feeder for these fish. Has anyone used the auto feeder and with what results?
Seems to me the older and bigger these fish get, the more skittish they get. I also have a feeling all this nervousness is probably making the firemouth more timid. She must wonder what all the panic is about all the time so runs and hides herself.
