until i get the coral beauty angel next week i needed to by a fish to tide me over until then. i wanted a firefish but they had none, but they had a nice skunk clownfish.
hes acclimating right now, but after i can get pics. the store also has mandarin fish, and for only $40, so after the tank establishes more i can get one
heres what he looks like though, and theyre fairly timid fish

now hes being anything but timid since i turned off the lights, hes zooming in the open.
i dont want to start a thread for a new small question.
my 5.5g is sitting empty so i figure i should make it a reef. maybe add a small damsel. i would have 2x15W CF bulbs on it, and i have 2 laying around. would a blue actinic CF bulb be necessary, or could i get by with corals on 2 regular CF's?

I thought the actinics were just for added coloring, but I am not sure. Hopefully someone else knows.

actinics stimulate a chemical in corals that produce food for them. if needed i can for sure pick one up, but if i can get by without one that works best

dam, the 5.5g reef idea is out. i read another thread on a forum about someone wanting to do the same thing as me with CF's and everyone disagreed with the guy.
