Hello I have never kept sting rays before and was wondering if any would be able to live in a 55 planted tank?

It's too small for them and they get too big, sorry :)

Rays you'd be looking at 7, maybe 8 ft minimum really. And because they like to bury you can pretty much forget your plants.

if someone is trying to sell you 'teacup' rays that are supposed to stay small, forget it. it's just a gimmick name for baby ray pups. even the smallest ray species need huge aquariums for life.

If you have a good, strong current in your tank and some smooth stones/rocks you could try Hillstream Loaches. They look a bit like mini rays...sort of!

A natural pool would be great. Chlorine pools can be converted over to a nitrogen cycle system
