Pangasius size

Why on earth do I keep seeing tags with pangasius growth listed at 2-2 1/2 inches?? I keep thinking maybe there is some dwarf species since I love the way they look, but nope..its just a plain ole' pangasius. Ugh.....False advertisers....

The smallest I was able to locate is Pteropangasius pleurotaenia which grows out to a paltry 14"

It just makes me mad becuase it gives all fish stores a bad name and some have very knowledgable staff members.

I'm learning quickly that anything I find in the LFS that I like I need to go home and research first on my own, sometimes the LFS knows what they are talking about and sometimes they are way off base.
