Our New Addition :)

Rob and I got another Betta a lil while ago. :) He'll be going in the 5 gal, once this 29 gal finishes cycling. We both fell in love with this one....he's a gorgeous shade of bright, solid red. Rob still hasn't named him yet...so i'm not sure what his name is. I wanted to put him in the 5 gallon now, but i'm afraid with it just being a 5 gallon, that the neons will get nippy or the betta will get territorial. So i'm just going to keep him in puffins old temporary bowl until I move the neons into the 29 gallon. I put some sand and a plant in the bowl so its a little more "homey" for him. Not just some bare, glass bowl. I want Rob to name him Flare...but he said no :( Puffin & Flare....hehehe

I'll get Rob to take pics of the new guy, so ya'll can see how pretty he is :41:

Hey wait a minute here...the new guy gets the 5g? What is Puffin gonna think about that? Doesn't he have the seniority to move into the bigger digs? I'm just joking ya know. Congrats on the new betta, fellow 2 betta keeper. Can't wait to see the pics... of the betta and the 29g update.

Awe, I wanted to put puffin in there! lol But I would feel bad moving him out of his little home. I know he's happy in this tank. He was building a bubble nest for 3 days, then I changed out his gravel to sand and he's been building a nest extra long this time! lol Usually its 3 days and then he's done, but its been like a week. So if he's happy, then i'm gonna keep him there :) hehe

congrats on the new guy..... i've only just recently got me a betta (Leonidas) but i love them.... If/when i get a bigger tank i'm going to try and find one that works in a community....thumbs2:

One of my guys has also been building one for a week lol. It stretches across the top of his part of the tank and is like 6 inches wide.

He does hide. If you look in from the top of the bowl he'll swim up and look at you and if you put your finger near the tank he puffs up and follows it around haha. i think the tetras in the tank are bother ing him they swim close and he puffs and struts on them alittle haha
