it wouldnt really matter, but i think for as many barb questions as there are the "other" section is sufficient enough

I think that it is a good idea, in that (I think) barbs are (or at least seem to be) a staple fish that new hobbiests might purchase. Of course, maybe you should have had a poll question concerning this topic. That way Admin/Mods could know what the needs were of the membership.

If you buid it...they will come!

I think its a good idea also, it helps organize things alot more.

Funny thing. I am looking for information on Cherry Barbs. We took our son to our LFS yesterday to see what kinds of fish he wanted to put in his 29 Gallon long tank. He has had it for years in his bedroom. But mostly had Dalmation Mollies. Now all that is there is My Pleco (Herman-13 inches long) I love that fish. And a cory. I had to move Herman to my sons tank from our 44 gallon Hexagon becasue I set it up for Blue Rams. So not enough room for Herman to manuver in it anymore.

Anywho. I am new but I vote for a Barb section. :)

I agree there should be a forum on barbs where as I started out with 6 long fin barbs. Finding information on them is/was difficult to obtain. It would have been very helpful to be able to go to a forum where I could discuss them.
