well should i take the male out???? the eggs are just in the process of hatching so i was wondering if i could take him out and if the eggs would be fine???

IDK what fish you are talking about but I would either take the eggs out or the male. Have you read about the fish to see if they eat the eggs after spawn or not. Some fish eat the infurle eggs to clean up the area too.

well it is in the betta section so i am talking about bettas....lol....and well i know that they eat the ones that are infertile but these ones are hatching....so i think that he doesn't know what to do with them so he eats them.
So i think that i am going to just take him out right now.

From what I've read, the babies don't really need their daddy in captivity. So I'd just take him out before he eats them all. Too bad he's not being a better daddy. :ssad:

Yea if they are in the process of hatching I would take the male out.
I posted in your other thread with the links about hatching and raising the fry without the father.

I dont think the male is eating the fries. Maybe he's just putting them back them in nest, check it carefully. Take male out after all the eggs hav hatched!

I read that if they fall out of the nest he will put them back but when they start hatching to take him out or he will eat them.

well he ate all of the eggs so i have none... :( so i will have to try it again another time.
