I was wondering if you guys could post up some pics of your corys. I am trying to decide on a species for my tank but sometimes its hard to decide on a critter until you actually see it in someone's tank. I just kinda feel like the websites and such that have pics and info about different species have some pretty impersonal tanks.

I have 4 spotted corys and a juli that was supposed to be a spotted. I got them at PetSmart. Here's a couple shots-

Haha, for me to show you a pic of my corys, I would just have to show you a random pic of my tank, as, somehow, they ALWAYS seem to ruin the picture. Heres one:

If you have a dark substrate go with albinos.

Corydoras juli is no longer a recognized species. They actually are a early described species Corydoras trilineatus

That is a Corydoras trilineatus also.
Corydoras schwartzi have a black patch over the eyes and multiple dotted latteral lines. They also don't have the black patch on the dorsal.

Ok. I am going to correct my self here, Your fish is still a Corydoras trilineatus, but Corydoras julii is still a different species, the difference being the spotting on the head. C. julii have unconnected spots, while C. trilineatus has spots that are connected to form mostly solid lines.

Yep, you're right. I never thought of checking, I just believed the card under the tank when I bought them. Thanks for the info.

here is a not so fantastic pic of my sterbai cory and brochis splendens, don't mind the gourami, it finds its way into every pic.

To me the Trilineatus en Sterbai are the prettiest .. there are so many options just go by your tanks size and water parameters and check which are most suitable
All cories love a soft substrate like sand or fine rounded gravel as they love to dig around in it and rougher substrate can destroy their feelers. I sometimes see them digging so far into the sand with their noses that only the back half can still be seen - very cute
