heres some pictures from the 55g. im lucky to have seen the coral banded shrimp in the open.

the arrow crab never is on land anymore, always on the powerheads.

and the tang and clownfish

and the brain coral (which is really neon green, but my phone picks up its brightness too far)

and the clown goby, who dug himself a huge cave. you can kinda see him in the one picture

Very nice! I was in PA this weekend and stopped at the Petland for a quick look...they had two healthy SW tanks (boy! Was I surprised!)...and in one tank they had black clowns...

CUTE! I was very tempted to bring a couple home...

But...I want to give Bubbles more time to settle in...don't want to make an impulse buy...need to decide if I want orange clowns for sure or not...

Sweet man, I just picked myself up 5 frags today.
2 patches of zoos,
few blue mushrooms
few red mushrooms and a really cool patch of neon green zoos.

lol, the clownfish is really a cruiser, he goes allover the tank.

for a week straight the arrow crab sits on the powerhead. how he gets up there is he goes on some LR, pumps his legs in the powerhead current, and swims up. he eats pieces of gunk that sit on the glass and powerhead

i'll get a full shot in a few days, when it looks better. i wanted to get some LR a week ago but i figured why not just get a huge batch and cure it all together, so within the next 1-2 weeks im adding 15-25lbs more LR

i upgraded my lights some more just now. i dont want to get the MH on until i have a full 70lbs LR, so i am running a even 4w/g, 220w. theres 3 40w fixtures, 2 daylight 1 actinic, a 24W VHO fixture, a 2x15W fixture, and a 30w CF fixture, and a 16W fluorescent fixture

HAHA i see stewey in the reflecton form the TV lol

BLAST! lol. thats the bad thing, the tank reflects the TV.

i should start breeding purple tangs!

as for the LR, it looks barer than a desert, just a thin strip on the bottom of the tank, about 35lbs. around next week im adding another 30lbs to have a total of about 65lbs

i think my arrow crab has gone sour. lol

he finally decided not to sit on the powerheads anymore. i was watching him sift his claw through the argonite, and usually he finds algae and missed tidbits. my tank has about 25 small 1cm fat bristleworms, which dont have their spines grown yet, and he picked one up with his claw, squeezed the heck out of it and started gnawing on it alive. at least i wont have bristleworms!
