Ok here's the deal. I have this weird looking danio mix of some sort. He looks like a zebra danio only reddish and has a red dot on each side of his head. I have had him for a good while now and all the sudden he is acting funny. I did have him in my 10 gal but he kept chasing everyone else and stressing the other fish out. So I just moved him into my 29gal and now he is at the surface darting around like a nut. I don't know what is up with him. Here is a link to a video of what he is doing....(if it doesnt work i will try again)

looks like normal danio behavior to me, all mine dart and chase eachother constantly, they are very fast active fish and are surface dwellers. he's probably just stayin at the top cause he hasnt investigated his new home yet

he never bullied the others like that before though. and my other danios aren't acting as nuts as him, lol. they all get along with each other pretty well. none of them just dart around constantly either.

was he actually nipping at the other fish? or just chasing them away?

i think just chasing, couldnt tell if he was getting ahold of them. the pearl danio was so freaked out he was hiding behind the intake. he wouldn't let anyone near the center of the tank and its only a 10 gal, so there isnt much more room. it looked as though some of the fish in with him were getting kind of stressed. so i put him in the 29g with the serpaes. now he just keeps flying around at the top of one part of the tank. doesn't have anyone to chase or anything, he's just acting nuts. its like he lost his mind or something and thinks he's chasing something...

Mine do that quite a bit. Its fun to watch so I don't complain. I would hate for my fish to just swim aroung like there was nothing to be happy about.

My neons do that.....which is worse with them being in a 5 gal hex, not much room to dart around....so they're constantly chasing each other. Can't wait to get them into my 29 gal. I think maybe they just need a good exercise :) lol
Again, I have to agree it appears to be completely normal Danio behavior.
