I have a very tall 42 gallon hex tank and I am worried about my Corys getting enough to eat. I've tried algae pellets, but the rest of the fish crowd around and they are too shy to get in the fray. I'd like to try some other type of sinking pellet, like smaller ones that can be spread around more. What should I get?

I use NLS sinking wafers, algae wafers, and sinking shrimp pellets in rotation in my tanks. I feed my bottom feeding fish when the lights go out.

Just take whatever you are feeding them and break it up into pieces and then frop them in different spots right before you turn your light out and the corys are bound to get some.
I would do what gm said too.

when my 30g hex had a few community fish and 5 corys i just put some flakes in the canister output so that the flakes sank quickly

haha my cory's must be blind. I've NEVER seen them dart for food...they just snuffle away until they smell something yummy.

I use NLS community pellets along with some flakes to keep the top feeders busy. I throw the pellets in close to the surface so a bunch sink immediately. I see the corys going after them. I also feed the corys in the same place every day, the sand corner of the tank so pellets don't get lost in gravel.
