I noticed yesterday when I fed her that she'd started peeling and seemed to be having buoyancy issues. She disappeared into the driftwood after she ate (and she did eat, which made me a bit relieved) and I didn't see her again until I checked on her at bedtime. She was floating on one of the val leaves at the surface and didn't swim away when I opened the lid (like she normall would've). I knew she wasn't likely going to make it through the night. I found her dead this morning. :ssad:

The thing that troubles me the most is I'm still not 100% completely sure if they're getting it from Petcetera or the wild driftwood I put in the tank (though I did boil it for 2-3 hours first).

All the same, I won't be keeping any more frogs until I nuke their tank and start fresh.

I'm heading over to Petcetera later this afternoon (once hubby gets home) and I'm going to have a chat with them to see if they know what's going on (I doubt it, but they WILL once I'm gone! :ezpi_wink1: ) and to see if they're having similar experiences with their frogs.

I really want to rule out whether it's them or my driftwood. (I'm thinking them. I boiled the snot outta that wood!)

So, I went over to Petcetera and told them about the Chytrid fungus, but they didn't really seem to know what I was talking about, nor seemed to care.

I won't be buying any frogs from them every again. THAT'S for sure!
