Shrimpies are thieves!

Do FW shrimp have the tendency to horde food? I'd like to know because mine are stealing the hikari algae wafers I drop in occasionally for the other fish. They run off with a piece of it and I don't know if they eat it all, or lose it somewhere under the driftwood. I'm worried because I read that the wafers can get really messy really fast if left in the water too long. Water quality has been good, so I'm hoping nothing of the sort is happening.

Yes, they will definitely run off with food. Break the wafer into tiny pieces before giving it to the thieves

Sound familiar? As it has been said break up the pellet first otherwise they will run off with all of it.

Yep, I already break them up since the whole wafer will never get eaten in my tank. And btw, that was a series of books. First read it in grade 6, and I've read it again a few times since.

yeah well mine do that and if you watch them closley they will eat it....or well mine did. lol.
