Hey...I just have two quick and easy questions:

1. I went to the pet store last weekend with the intention of picking up an air stone to run in my tank at night and counteract the 24 hour CO2 that I'm currently putting in it. Then I realized that I have absolutely no idea what to do with an air stone. How do I set it up in my tank?

2. What is the cheapest, easiest way to set up a quarantine tank? What's the smallest I could get away with (my main tank is a 20g) and the minimum of supplies for it? Would I need to keep it cycled, or would a few fish be okay in there for a few days if I kept an eye on the water parameters?

1. you would need a airstone, air pump, and some tubing

2. a 10g, with a sponge filter, a small cave, and a live plant. keep 5 danios in it to keep it cycled

Do I just drop the airstone in and let it hang, or do I have to attach it to something?

you get the air pump, connect the tubing to the air pump, and the stone to the other end.

i just let it hang in, but air stones are usually for UGF's. for looks go with a bubble wall

you can get different types of air hose. Like i got this thing from wal-mart and you hook the tubing to the one end and then it is a long rod and the rod suctions to the glass and you can place it whereever you want' Then when you turn your pump on you get a crap load of small bubbles. and it looks cool if you have it at the back of your tank.
