could i make a cichlid tank with 29 gallons? i want a few different kinds of cichlids so what could all go together

Dwarf Cichlids like Apistos and Checkerboards..............

Yes or your could put a pair of convicts or firemouths in there, one severum would be ok.

You could fit in a few labs, maybe 2 peacock cichlids and a Blue Dolphin. All bottom feeders are pretty good with cichlids because they can be aggressive as well, I would reccomend about 5 clown loaches and 2 plecos. Matt23.
