Today at my LFS i was looking at some of the tetra tanks and noticed they had these beauitful tetras named "raspberry tetra" and "fruit loop" tetra.

The problem is I can't find any information on these and have no idea if they will be ok in my tank.

The raspberry tetra was a beautiful light blueish colour and the fruit loops one was a very light pink colour. Both were very vibrant and quite pretty.

Any idea on these?

thanks William good link.

this is the only reputable fish store around me too, is it common practice to sell these poor fish?

unfortunatly yes. I know a number of store owners who don't like them but the demand for them are so big that they are "forced" to sell them.

It is however even more common in Asia.
