DARN!!!! Every single egg is gone this morning. Corys ate them all. DARN!!!! I guess I learned that one the hard way.

Does anyone know how long it will be before they spawn again?

are you sure they ate them?

I think someone told me (dave66 I think) that corys are ok with eggs and fry, that they won't eat them.....

when my corys spawned (sad as it was) the eggs dropped the surfaces after about 4 days. I went another three or four days convinced they were infertile eggs or that something had happened. After a week or so I decided to do a good vac clean and water change so that if the eggs were infertile they wouldn't start to fungus. ..... I discovered teeeeeny tiny cory fry while cleaning the tank. (they were trying to escape the gravel vac, I felt so horrible, I had already dumped two buckets of water and who knows how many fry.)

so.... all I can say is, wait wait wait. They are soooooooo small, the eggs could have just dropped off and now are starting to hatch. After a week the fry were still barely distinguishable from the dirt going into the gravel vac..... and I definitely could not see a single one when searching the tank for them.

I'm not sure how long it has been since they spawned, but I would be very careful next time you clean the gravel. You may have cory fry after all :)

Well I don't see them anywhere but you make a good point, too. Maybe they just fell off. Hope you're right! I'd love to rear cory fry!

I couldn't see the eggs either.... and I searched. And I mean sat by my tank for hours looking at ever little piece of gravel searched haha. They fall off naturally but also if you have strong filtration I guess... so they could have been knocked off.

I would wait at least a week before messing with the bottom of their tank. Good luck!

I rigged up a filter floss prefilter for the HOB filter. I SO hope the eggs just fell off!

Everywhere. Mostly on the glass, but some on the plastic plants, too. I found some more eggs last night. AND...

my daughter found a "teeny tiny wiggly thing" that is a fry! I have NO idea how she spotted it! Too cool. If there is one I am sure there are others. Hope we can get a few to survive!

Congrats!!! I wish you better luck than I had. All of fry disappeared within 3 days and there was nothing else in the tank. 4 or 5 fry out of the spawn then ::poof:: nothing...
