aquaclear refugium?

ive read about people making aquaclear 110's as refugiums, but nowhere can i find how to do it. i have a spare 110, so i think i get how to make one

remove all media
slow down the flow on it
add a light

is that really all that you need to do? ive got a spare 110, and a spare 13W CF fixture that would fit it

I've heard some people shave down the impeller to decrease the flow even more.
