I'm new to the shrimp. I think they are much cooler than buying plecos. My first one malted today/last night (and I did remove the old exo). Was curious if it was easy to tell which one. Since they are more delicate in this stage I want to make sure I can protect it if I need to.

Just added a nice sized piece of driftwood based on what I read here and they seem to love it... I now see them out an about almost every day.

Definitely if any of my LFSs get more I'll be adding them.

Actually I just re-read the invertibrates section here and I now think I was sold "Ghost" shrimp, but actually bought Amano shrimp. They are clear with a line of small dots along their side. I did the dots, they add 'flair' lol

Now I'm completely confused. I Googled Ghost shrimp and some of them have spots... and the Amano have more than 1 row of spots???

Amanos are greyish brown with a stripe down the spine and spots along the side. They also do not have the "humpback" common to Ghost shrimp. They belong to entirely different geni...
