Fish too large to eat that aren't aggressive. Six or eight giant danios, sextet of Rams.

Rams bred in Asia are injected with hormones to make them color up. The practice shortens their lives dramatically. Make sure the rams you get are wild caught or tank bred in the US or Germany. You should get 3-5 years out of Rams.

Severums are peaceful and about anything larger than a neon can go with it.

They are peacful, for a Cichlid. Not every Cichlid species available is an aggressive monster.

Blood parrot and festiuvms can go with severums, as well. But once again, there might be a slight chance you can get an ornery blood parrot. Silver Dollars should work well once they are a little larger and they don't take long to get there. If you want plants, you probably would rather not have the severum, either. You could have some hardier plants and possibly pile some rocks around the base of them.

Yup, it was overstocked but now it isn't. Very cool to have a mixed larger cichlid tank.

i doubt ill put any more cichlids in with him unless its something like an acara. This is all im planning on so far:

Then without the cats it's pushing your limits, I would just put 3 silver dollars and the severum in there.

Special-K

yeah yeah, i tend to push my limits :smad: thanks for bringin me back down to earth. ill prob follow something similar to your advice. The sev will eventually be housed in a much larger cichlid community.

Maybe you should try JUST the severum in the 35g. Since they get to 10 inches and need 33g to themselves it doesn't leave room for other fish..

Well if you eventually get a bigger thank then you will be ok.
