What are reputation points and how do you earn them?
Reputation points are a way of seeing how reputable a person is as decided by other members of the forum. You earn them when someone clicks the scales next to a post and either gives you a good or bad rating.

Dont feel bad, not a lot of rep points seem to be given between members, more so gifts, it would be good to see more rep oints given and people saving there points a little instead of buying gifts all the time

Good point Tinny... Gifts are useful for saying thanks, but rep is a better way to let someone know who to listen to. The higher the rep, the better the person's advice.

On the user CP page its right down bottom, right hand side.

I will also point out here, you have to have a certain amount of rep points to be able to give them, and before everyone go's crazy giving them, I am unsure how it all works properly, whether you are limited to giving so many etc, so wait for more info from either hobbs or William before you guys/gals go crazy, who have been in the staff for quite some time.

I just received some points from Crackatinny. I have 24 point at this time. I don't know if that is alot...but I have only been on this forum for about a week...if that: so I guess that is not too bad.

This is an awesome site...so let's keep up the positive works, and help one another in enjoying this site, as well as our common hobby...passion.

I think at 100 you get an award cocoa, dont forget to have a look and request it.

I was in the same boat. Even though you supposedly get some for joinging it appears blank until someone gives you some for good advice/deeds. Once one person sends something it will show in your CP.

You can now get the bronze reputation award. Mine has went form the mid 150's to 201!!!

I support this new trend in using the rep instead of gifts.

I posted a couple of weeks about it, up untill that time only 1 member had the bronze rep award, and I thought it a real waste.

So if someone does something you appreciate, advice, a lift when you need one, or just for being continuously nice and polite, give em some rep, save the gifts for birthdays Xmas etc:thumb: (it saves you points to:ezpi_wink1: )
