Well, my name is mike and me and the girlfriend are looking into getting a nice new 28g bow front tank. Today we spent an hour looking for dumb pleco proof decorations for the tank. We are affraid that too small of holes might be bad for the larger fishes.
Is 3-4 fish in the tank fine? There will definately be a pleco and maybe a south american bumblebee catfish and one or two toher cats. Any good suggestions?
Thanks in advanced.

Welcome to AC, Mike. Pleco, half dozen cories, couple dozen neons or cardinal tetras, and you're set.

Welcome to the A.C mike
just make sure it isnt a common pleco because they get pretty huge and need upwards of 180g full grown

We might go for a rubber lip pleco or a synodontis longirostrus. What are the lengths on those does anyone know? Also, we will probably get a few cats but are not sure as to which species, prferably a non-cory and one with long barbels. Maybe even an upside down catfish who knows. Any suggestions?
Me and the girlfriend prefer the more obscure fish mainly cus we think they are neater than tetras. No offense meant.

Check out the porthole cats; Dianema longibarbus, D. urostriata. Reach four inches, should be kept in groups of six, unusual in aquariums.

Welcome to the forum.
I have an upside down catfish. He's pretty fun to watch - very active.
Good luck with your setup!

Hello to every one. I have the unidentify parasites, they cling to the glasswall they are very tiny ,white dots-likes, then later hatched become about an inch long. the white dots spread so quickly. I change water and filter, however with in a day it returned. I lost one fish. How do I get rid of tjhis problem.

the longibarbus, might be an interesting fit, since if they only go up to 4 inches they will fill out a 28 gallon nicely, but sadly they would be the only ones in there.
