Kimmers, you have to enter him in the POTM. He's looking very good.

Wow! Do you have any videos of him posted somewhere? I'd love to see him in action!

Chief is a Tetraodon Suvatti puffer, AKA, pignose, mekong, arrowhead or hog-nose puffer. He is a lurker type meaning he lies in wait in a cave or buried under the sand waiting for prey to get too close.....then watch out!
He is in a 29 gal FW tank with about a 4" sand bottom. Since he is around 4" himself, with a girth of about 1 1/2 inches, he needs it to bury himself or he might bump his nose when he dives in!!! He does not actively seek food, except when I open the tank, he knows I mean food and will fly up from the bottom to grab the krill floating on top. When he does this he usually exits the water and makes a nice splash! Although he does eat snails, he won't actively seek them out, which is nice because they get the chance to clean a little bit before he finds them.
Will be back later with more info....the baby is here now!

Suvatti's max out around 6" but I haven't really seen a whole lot of growth in this guy since I got him so he may be as big as he is going to get. He still needs the large tank though because he is quite a messy eater and when he does move, it is with lightening speed.
I would love to post a video of him eating crays but seem to have a problem with my videos off the camera since I got the new computer. I was able to view them on XP, but my adobe premier and my windows program don't recognize .mov files which is what the camera down loads them as. Anyone have any tips there?
As for pics in the contest, I will give it a little more time and see what else I can come up with. I have been practicing more for the submissions to the annual puffer calendar. My dwarf puffers made it in last year and I am hoping to succeed again this year:27:
