Does anyone know if dwarf gouramis can tolerate salt?
I have a flame gourami with a lesion on his side. I have been dosing with small amounts of melafix in the tank (one cap every two days - I have done this three times), and added a small amount of salt tonight (5 TEAspoons in a 30 gal) after having read that this was ok. His wound looks better already.
Since then I have read conflicting things on salt and dwarfs.
I have only two females, two males as the tank is new and I don't want to lose any of them. If many of you think that salt was a mistake I will do a 40% water change tomorrow.
Please advise.
