Emergency!

I bought that test kit I was talkiong about.. and i tested my water... all my counts are low... 0 ammonia, 0 trites, but my trates are high as can be. over 80!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I need to do a large scale, 50% wc to reduce these..... but the thing is, I dont have any saltwater mixed already;;; can I just mix it and match the salinity and temp and add it to the tank??? Please respond asap!

Bill, yes you can, although it is much better to let newly mixed salt sit and settle a little first. You can always go to a LFS and purchase premixed SW. I generally do this as it saves me the hassle of trying to mix it.

I have no clue about salt water but I just wanted to say good luck I hope you can fix it ASAP.

Bill if there is no fish or anything in there than just mix some up let it sit overnight.
