Help with Rummy nose tetra!

Yesterday I bought a few more rummynose tetras and 2 have died so far. Before they died the base of their tail and onto their bodies turned white. Now Its happening to the last one alive. What is this and what can I do to save him?

What are your ammonia/nitrite/nitrate levels? How long did you acclimate before adding them? Sounds like a toxic shock to me.

Agreed as always, Dave. Sounds like too fast of an introduction into the system.

I floated them for a half hour then for another half hour slowly added my tank water. It seems wierd to me because its only affecting the new rummynose tetras and not my other rummynose or other fish. Ammonia/Nitrite/Nitrate should be fine I did a 50% water change yesterday in the morning and got my fish in the afternoon.
