TIGERS !!!

Aloha all. Does anybody have any experience at keeping Tiger loaches. Botia Hymenophosa & Helodes are both very interesting sp. to keep although territorial & aggressive. Kept with robust tankmates they seem to do fine if allowed enough room & ample hiding/resting places.
Anybody else ever keep these guys ?

I have kept Botia helodes but have never been able to find Botia hymenophosa in the trade,

Any aggression probs with the Helodes ?
I added a group of 30 rummy nose tetras to the tank the tigers were in & they were all killed in less than two days.
You never stop learning !

I never had any problem but i kept it in a tank with mainly tiger and clown barbs. Both hardy and fast swimming.

I later kept it with small cichlids and didn't have any problem then either.

I assume it depends a lot on the individuall loach.

You are absolutely correct William. These fish are fine when kept with medium size, robust tankmates.
